The Interregional Cooperation Programme INTERREG IVC, financed by the European Union’s Regional Development Fund, helps Regions of Europe work together to share experience and good practice in the areas of innovation, the knowledge economy, the environment and risk prevention. EUR 302 million is available for project funding but, more than that, a wealth of knowledge and potential solutions are also on hand for regional policy-makers.


1st Best Practice Tranfer in Portugal

  The first Best Practice Transfer Study trip of the project was organized in Portugal from 24 to 27 May 2010. The study trip was a joint cooperation between ADERE- Peneda Gerês, Municipality of Alcobaça and INTELI, so all partners from Portugal. The first two days focused on the Oeste region, while the last two for the best practices of the North part of the country - Gerês National Park.

  At the study trip the delegations of three project partners took part in: Municipality of Turda, Baia Mare and Hódmezővásárhely. Fortunately, besides counsellors, representatives, ex-factory directors, experts, lost of ceramists, crafsmen and artists also participated. The whole study trip was perfectly organized by the Portugal partners and it gave an overall pictures about the ceramic, small craft sectors' present situation. The project partners visited several ceramic factories like Bordallo Pinheiro, Braz Gil Studio, SPAL and Faria & Bento manufacturing industry, but at the same time small companies, family enterprises, ceramic museums and training centers also placed in the programme.
