The Interregional Cooperation Programme INTERREG IVC, financed by the European Union’s Regional Development Fund, helps Regions of Europe work together to share experience and good practice in the areas of innovation, the knowledge economy, the environment and risk prevention. EUR 302 million is available for project funding but, more than that, a wealth of knowledge and potential solutions are also on hand for regional policy-makers.


The first Best Practice Package in Abruzzo Region

The exchange, which took place on 4-5-6 August 2010 in Abruzzo, was very intensive. Delegations from the Ceramica project partnership, composed of the representatives of the Spanish partner, Association for Promoting Socio-economic Hoya Bunol-Chiva (Spain), the Municipality of Vallauris (France) and the Municipality of Baia Mare (Romania), learned more and appreciated our ceramic art, land, culture and our traditions better.

The visit was preceeded by a press conference, which was held at the regional headquarters of Abruzzo Region in Pescara, where the Vice-President of Abruzzo Region, and the  Deputy Mayor fof the Economic Development welcomed the foreign delegations. At the press conference the representatives of the main stakeholders with reference of the ceramic sector in the Abruzzo Region thus the Ceramic Centre Castles, Artistic Handicraft Exposition Guardiagrele, the Regional President of the National Crafts Association (CNA), the Mayor of Castelli and the Mayor of Guardiagrele have also took part in.

Thank to the trip the specialist could know the local ceramics traditions better and of cource exchange experiences.
